What does an insulation removal service look like?

 - When removing insulation, what we do depends on if we are removing blow in insulation or batt insulation. If we are removing batt insulation all we do is go into your attic and take it out with no equipment other than our protective gear!

  - When we are removing blow in insulation of any kind we use a vacuum like machine attached to 2 hoses, A skinnier, longer hose and a wider and shorter hose. On one side of the machine The skinnier and longer hose is the one which we take into your attic to suck up the insulation, which is close to 3 inches in diameter and varies in length depending on the size of your attic. On the other side of the machine is the shorter and wider hose which is sealed directly to our specialty made large insulation bags with microscopic holes for air flow. This hose is closer to 4.5 inches in diameter and about 12 feet long. We are the twin cities best insulation removal service, call now for free quote today at 651-661-4260

How do I know when I need my insulation removed?

- Insulation last between 30-50 years depending on how dry it has been kept, material, and quality of material. It is extremely important for health and safety that you find out exactly how old your insulation is! As insulation ages it will get less and less effective but can also become a health hazard.

What are the dangers of old insulation?

- Old insulation can have mold and leak toxins, which is called off gassing. The two most common toxins from insulation are formaldehyde and asbestos. The toxins don't just come from the insulation itself, pests inside the insulation also may carry toxins. Bat and rodent urine and fecal matter are very toxic and can spread viruses to humans. Rodents can carry a virus known as hantavirus. Visit our health hazards page for more information!

What does a blow in insulation service look like?

- Blow in insulation is our most common service provided, whether is wool, cellulose, or vermiculite we do whatever you need! Cellulose is the most recommended because it is a pest repellent. Although it is slightly more expensive than wool because of that factor. If you are looking for the cheapest blow in insulation, we recommend wool fiberglass insulation. We do not recommend vermiculite because there is not much benefit. It is quite expensive and there is not much of a reason to choose vermiculite over the cheaper alternatives, but if you insist on vermiculite we will give you what you want! When we blow insulation we use a machine attached to a hose about 3.5 inches in diameter. The machine has spinning blades that cut up the insulation to be passed through the hose at a consistent speed while the insulation is cut from the bag and put into the machine. We are the twin cities best blow in insulation service, give us a call at 651-661-4260

What does spray foam insulation look like?

- Spray foam insulation is the most effective form of insulation but is also the most expensive, it's a very complex operation and requires multiple machines. There are 2 barrels of spray foam, 1 a side and 1 b side. They are connected to our machine which heats Both sides up to a particular temperature. Once the a and b side barrels are heated up, they are then transferred through a compressed hose attached to a gun that sprays out the insulation at a high speed. It is very efficient! You want an experienced spray foamer to ensure the most safety and we have very experienced professional spray foamers.
